Dietz Dolls Aviation Pinup Series
Vought F4U Corsair & Cristina
- © Britt Dietz -

Another 'Aviation Pinup Series' pinup featuring Cristina and the famed Vought F4U Corsair. This is a new 'simple' type of aviation pinup that I'll be doing more of in the coming months using Army Air Force, Navy, and Marine aircraft ranging from fighters to transports to bombers. Each will feature a pinup with an aircraft and the matching US insignia for that aircraft. The background will also be themed to the aircraft's general colors. First flown in May of 1940, this well known and loved pacific war naval fighter could hit speeds of 417 mph with a range over 1,000 mles. It could carry rockets, bombs, and had 6 .50 cal machine guns. Over 12,500 Corsairs were built lasting until 1953. The Corsair remained in service through the Korean war with the last Corsairs retired with the Honduras Air Force in 1979.

The Dietz Dolls Aviation Pinup Series features World War 2 aircraft (called Warbirds) paired with a pinup model wearing authentic flight clothing to the 1940s era. Available for purchase in all sorts of different sizes including posters!
