"Pan Am Cutie"
- Featuring model Kirsten - © Britt Dietz -

Featuring model Kirsten in this tribute to the 1940s Pan American Airlines! Pan American World Airways, or Pan Am as it's known by many started in 1927 by two famous Army Air Force Majors ("Hap" Arnold and Carl Spaatz). Given the green light to carry mail and passengers, Pan Am was officially endorsed by the US Government as a way of stopping the growth of German-Colombian airline SCADTA. This allowed Pan Am to almost have a monopoly on international routes and shot it up to the top allowing it to acquire several over airlines. In the 1930s Pan Am was booming in what was called the Clipper Era with seaplane flights all over the world. Pan Am enjoyed very little competition in the air travel industry through World War 2 (where the majority of airline aircraft were drafted into military service). After the war, however, air transport exploded and soon Pan Am found itself amidst several other rapidly growing airline companies including American Airlines, United, DELTA, TWA, and more.

Celebrating the golden age of pinups during the 1940s, these classic pinups have been carefully shot and finished to mimic the classic style made famous by artists such as George Petty and Alberto Vargas. Fun and often downright goofy, these pinups portray the girl next door and her adventures through the 1940s. Prints in many different sizes are available!
