"1946 Buick 8/40 Special"
- Featuring model Melissa - © Britt Dietz -

Airbrushed style pinup photo featuring model Melissa with a 1946 Buick 8/40 Special! With the war and the rationing of materials used in many cars finally back to being available to manufacturers, car sales boomed and the different models of specific car lines increased with many variations. During the war, Buick had supplied engines used in B-24 Liberators and C-47 Skytrains. With that out of the war and veterans returning home with money in their pockets, Buick focused on it's Super line of cars increasing them to 4 variations in the line. The Special series stayed pretty much the same throughout the war and by 1946 only the large pre-war designed Buick Special was being offered. Because of this, the 1946 Buick Special is considered very rare, with only 2% of the entire year's production of vehicles being this Buick Special model. While the Special continued to have small changes done through the next few years, it wouldn't be until 1949 that the car was changed.

Celebrating the golden age of pinups during the 1940s, these classic pinups have been carefully shot and finished to mimic the classic style made famous by artists such as George Petty and Alberto Vargas. Fun and often downright goofy, these pinups portray the girl next door and her adventures through the 1940s. Prints in many different sizes are available!
