Dietz Dolls Aviation Pinup Series
Grumman J2F Duck & Kayla
- © Britt Dietz -

Airbrushed style pinup photo featuring model Kelsey, the US Marine Corps, and the Grumman J2F Duck! The Grumman J2F Duck first flew in 1936 and was used by every brand of the US military through World War 2. The first flight of the Duck was actually the same day the first Duck was delivered to the US Navy with eventual delivery of Ducks including special VIP variants with upgraded plush interiors. Able to land on solid ground or in water with a large central float that contains the landing gear when retracted, the Duck was used for everything from transporting, aerial scouting, sea rescue, photo reconnaissance, land mapping, anti-submarine patrol, and more. The landing gear on the Duck was hand cranked up and down much like the Grumman F4F wildcat. Over 580 were built with the top speed being about 190mph with a crew of two people. The Duck was retired from US service in the late 1940s.

The Dietz Dolls Aviation Pinup Series features World War 2 aircraft (called Warbirds) paired with a pinup model wearing authentic flight clothing to the 1940s era. Available for purchase in all sorts of different sizes including posters!
